Jan. 2, 1943 – Oct. 26, 2024<\/p>\n
Peggy Fleener, 81, of Green Valley, Arizona, passed peacefully on Oct. 26th after a long stubborn battle with Alzheimer’s\/dementia. She was a 25-year resident of Green Valley, Arizona with her husband Raymond Fleener. Prior to that, she and Ray lived in Maple Valley, Washington for 20 years.<\/p>\n
A native of Brooklyn, New York, Peggy moved with her family to Southern California. Later she moved to Bellevue and then Maple Valley. In her early married years in California, she loved being a mother and wife and remaining close to all her brothers, sisters and parents. She liked to bowl, go dancing, plan parties and family gatherings. Dining out was one of her favorite pastimes and she loved Mexican food! She took her fifirst airplane trip in 1972 to Hawaii and loved to travel after that.<\/p>\n
She married Ray Fleener in December 1977 in Bellevue, Washington. She had careers as an Administrative Assistant for several companies and a Loan Offifficer for a major fifinance fifirm. She also worked for Boeing for several years and dabbled in real estate before retiring to Arizona.<\/p>\n
Peggy enjoyed seeing shows, movies and concerts (Neil Diamond!) with her husband. In Green Valley she and Ray were founding members of B.A.J.A., Born Again Jocks Association, softball league. She helped plan many events with the group.<\/p>\n
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents John “Jack” Harrington II and Mae Evans, and her brother Philip Harrington.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, Raymond Fleener, Green Valley, AZ, her son Michael N. Painter, Missoula, MT, daughter Dana Lynn Vincent, Eatonville, WA, granddaughter Gracie Mae Vincent, Spanaway, WA, grandson Chase D. Vincent, Eatonville, WA, brother John F. Harrington III (Susan), Hansville, WA, sister Rose Alsbury (Lynn), Green Valley, AZ, brother Robert Harrington (Lorie), Cherry Valley, CA, and sister Mary Harrington, Minneapolis, MN. She is also survived by Ray’s children, Debbie Fleener, CA, and Ray Jr and Jay Fleener, WA., eleven nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and nephews, and by good friends in Arizona and Washington, as well as her oldest living friend, Pat Reeder of Austin, TX.<\/p>\n
Services to be held at Edline-Yahn Mortuary, Covington, WA on Tuesday, Nov. 19th 2024 at 10am with reception to follow immediately. Internment at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, WA. No graveside services will be held. Flowers are welcome or you may choose to make a donation in her name to your local or national Alzheimers Association.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
