She was born at home in Kennydale, Washington on October 12, 1937. She graduated from Renton High school in 1955. She then attended Central Washington University for one year. In 1958, she married Jack Becvar of Kent Washington. She and Jack resided in Kent together until his death.<\/p>\n<p>She was the director of the Kent Food Bank for many years prior to her retirement.
