{"id":70411,"date":"2024-08-15T12:45:00","date_gmt":"2024-08-15T19:45:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/kent-police-arrest-renton-man-wanted-on-felony-escape-warrant\/"},"modified":"2024-08-15T12:45:00","modified_gmt":"2024-08-15T19:45:00","slug":"kent-police-arrest-renton-man-wanted-on-felony-escape-warrant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/kent-police-arrest-renton-man-wanted-on-felony-escape-warrant\/","title":{"rendered":"Kent Police arrest Renton man wanted on felony escape warrant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kent Police arrested a 41-year-old Renton man wanted for a felony state Department of Corrections escape from community custody on a first-degree robbery warrant.<\/p>\n<p>A witness called at about 11:37 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14 to report the man was <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/FWzU3ZAyqXTQPpjB9\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"map\" rel=\"noopener\">in a parking lot in the 1700 block of West Meeker Street<\/a> and reportedly carrying a gun, according to an Aug. 15 Kent Police news release.<\/p>\n<p>Multiple officers responded and one officer spotted the man crouching down in a group of people by a car, according to police. Officers took the man into custody without incident. He was not armed at the time of his arrest.<\/p>\n<p>The man also had a warrant out of Auburn for DUI, according to police.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in the week, Kent Police had been notified that the man, considered a career criminal by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), had the felony warrant and was in Kent.
