A 46-year-old Renton woman died in a fatal hit-and-run collision on Interstate 90 near Snoqualmie over the Fourth of July weekend.<\/p>\n

Patricia Man-Wai Au died from multiple blunt force injuries, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office July 8 media report.<\/p>\n

She was riding a motorcycle during the collision at about 2:45 a.m. Sunday, July 6.<\/p>\n

According to the Washington State Patrol, first responders pronounced the woman deceased at the scene. Law enforcement have not released any information regarding an additional vehicle involved that struck the woman, stating the driver and any identifying information regarding the vehicle remains unknown as of July 6 as the driver fled the scene.<\/p>\n

According to the State Patrol, both the motorcyclist and the unidentified driver traveled westbound on I-90, east of milepost 27, in lane three of four, prior to the motorcyclist striking an elk. The unidentified driver reportedly struck the motorcyclist after she landed in the road in lane three as her motorcycle arrived at a stop on the left shoulder.<\/p>\n
