{"id":6967,"date":"2015-03-16T09:28:00","date_gmt":"2015-03-16T16:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spiken.wpengine.com\/news\/kent-firefighters-douse-unoccupied-house-fire\/"},"modified":"2016-10-22T20:45:40","modified_gmt":"2016-10-23T03:45:40","slug":"kent-firefighters-douse-unoccupied-house-fire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/kent-firefighters-douse-unoccupied-house-fire\/","title":{"rendered":"Kent firefighters douse unoccupied house fire"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p><strong>For the Reporter<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Kent Fire officials are investigating an early Monday morning house fire in the 24000 block of 138 Court Southeast.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Firefighters from the Kent Fire Department Regional Fire Authority were dispatched to the house fire at 1:30 a.m. after a security patrol noticed smoke coming from the two-story home. When the first unit arrived, they found smoke coming from the house and flames on the first floor.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>It took approximately 20 minutes to fully extinguish the fire and to ensure that it had not spread into the attic space.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Two searches of the house showed the house was unoccupied. There were no reported injuries.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>No one was living in the house, which is for sale.
