The 16th annual Kent International Festival is set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 1 at the accesso ShoWare Center, 625 W. James St.<\/p>\n
The free event will be inside at the Arena stage and outside at the Plaza stage. The festival features music and dance, educational and vendor booths, food trucks and more to celebrate Kent’s diverse cultures and community.<\/p>\n
The food court runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.<\/p>\n
In response to the city’s growing diversity, a planning committee of volunteers along with local organizations, businesses and city government got together to plan the celebration and learn from one another. The festival showcases the region’s multicultural dances, musical performances, spectacular native attire and delicious authentic cuisine.<\/p>\n
