A 31-year-old woman died May 11 in a head-on two-vehicle collision in Auburn after her vehicle drifted into oncoming traffic.<\/p>\n
According to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, Sara R. Sampson died as a result of multiple blunt force injuries suffered in an accident in the roadway at 4700 I Street Northeast.<\/p>\n
According to an email from Kolby Crossley, a spokesperson for the Auburn Police Department, the fatal collision occurred at approximately 9:52 a.m. in the area of I Street Northeast in north Auburn.<\/p>\n
First responders pronounced Sampson as deceased at the scene and transported a second driver involved, a man in his 30s, to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center with minor injuries.<\/p>\n
According to Crossley, preliminary investigation showed that Sampson’s vehicle, traveling northbound on I Street Northeast, drifted into the oncoming lane of travel, colliding head-on with a southbound vehicle.<\/p>\n
King County Medic One personnel attempted lifesaving measures on Sampson prior to pronouncing her as deceased.<\/p>\n
No arrests resulted from the case, with the Auburn Police Traffic Division continuing investigation into the collision, according to Crossley.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
