Kent voters will have several options among incumbents and challengers this year in races for Congress and the state Legislature.<\/p>\n
May 6-10 was filing week for candidates. The two candidates with the most votes on the Aug. 6 primary ballot will advance to the Nov. 5 general election.<\/p>\n
Here’s a look at the six federal and state districts that include a portion of Kent:<\/p>\n
Congress<\/strong><\/p>\n District 8<\/strong><\/p>\n • *Kim Schrier, D-Sammamish<\/p>\n • Carmen Goers, R-Auburn<\/p>\n • Keith Arnold, D-Auburn<\/p>\n • Imraan Siddiqi, D-Sammamish<\/p>\n *Incumbent<\/p>\n Notes<\/strong>: Schrier seeking fourth two-year term in district that stretches from portions of King and Pierce counties east to Ellensburg and Wenatchee.
