A sampling of Kent Police incidents April 9-28:<\/p>\n

April 9<\/strong><\/p>\n

Uber carjacking<\/strong>: 1:18 a.m., patrol responded to Driftwood Apartments, 1600 W. James Pl., for a robbery. An Uber driver had arrived at the complex when he was flagged down by the suspect, whom he believed needed assistance. The victim rolled down his window, and the suspect grabbed him by the collar of his jacket and told him to get out of the car. As this occurred, a second suspect appeared. The victim was ordered to give them his wallet and phone, and the suspects fled in his vehicle.<\/p>\n

Shotgun escort<\/strong>: 8:04 a.m., patrol responded to 12700 SE 261st Place for an assault. A male was waving around a shotgun and pointed it at his neighbor. The victim reported that her neighbor had been outside with a gun as she was leaving for work and pointed a shotgun at her, so she fled the area. Patrol located the suspect and arrested him. The suspect claimed he had been escorting his wife to her car with his shotgun.<\/p>\n

Child abuse<\/strong>: 8 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 3500 block of S. 239th Place for a child abuse report. A neighbor called in, stating a 9-year-old child was hit by his mother and sustained a black eye. Officers conducted a thorough investigation, which ended with taking three children into protective custody and calling CPS for placement. The mother was arrested for assault, which was upgraded to a felony level when one of the children not only sustained a black eye but also a concussion from the assault.<\/p>\n

April 11<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bus stop robbery<\/strong>: 2:22 a.m., patrol responded to the 7-Eleven at 24000 104th Ave. SE for a robbery. Officers learned the two victims had been at the bus stop when a car stopped and asked them if they had any marijuana. The driver got out and then asked for their belongings and told them if they did not leave, they would be shot. The victims provided their items and then ran across the street as they had been directed to do.<\/p>\n

April 15<\/strong><\/p>\n

CPR for child<\/strong>: 7:14 p.m., patrol responded to an in-progress CPR incident involving a 2-year-old child in the 27200 block of 148th Ave. SE. Once officers were on the scene they took over CPR from a resident of the home. Officer’s CPR efforts successfully revived the child, and a pulse was detected. Subsequently, fire and medics arrived and assumed treatment, transporting the child to Seattle Children’s. During transport, the child regained consciousness, exhibiting a more normal demeanor upon arrival at Seattle Children’s, contrary to the initial information provided at the incident location.<\/p>\n

April 19<\/strong><\/p>\n

Smoke shop burglary<\/strong>: 7:51 a.m., patrol responded to K Cloud Smoke Shop, 24202 104th Ave. SE, regarding a burglary. Surveillance footage captured two suspects arriving in a vehicle, breaking the store’s front glass, and stealing the cash register, its contents, and high-end vape products.<\/p>\n

April 22<\/strong><\/p>\n

7-Eleven robberies<\/strong>: Patrol responded to separate robberies at 18000 W. Valley Hwy and 22400 83rd Ave. S., each 7-Eleven locations. Both incidents occurred at night, with three individuals entering each store, implying possession of a weapon to coerce the clerk into surrendering cash from the till.<\/p>\n

Handgun pointed<\/strong>: An officer responded to an incident at the Penske lot, 7210 S. 224th St., where a male pointed a handgun at a victim, and damaged the victim’s commercial truck tires with a knife before fleeing. Despite extensive search efforts, the suspect remains at-large, and the case is under investigation.<\/p>\n

April 23<\/strong><\/p>\n

7-Eleven robbery<\/strong>: Patrol responded to an armed robbery at 7-Eleven, 1400 W. Meeker St., where three masked suspects displayed a firearm, demanded cash, and subsequently fled. Following a pursuit, two suspects were apprehended.<\/p>\n

April 28<\/strong><\/p>\n

Unconscious in vehicle<\/strong>: A security guard reported a vehicle collision at Ivar’s, 25404 104th Ave. SE, involving an unconscious male driver and a female passenger. Officers and firefighters arrived, initiating CPR on the female. Both individuals were transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Alcoholic beverages were found in the vehicle, and the incident remains under KPD Traffic investigation.<\/p>\n

Safeway robbery<\/strong>: 5:48 p.m., patrol responded to an armed robbery at Safeway, 13100 SE Kent Kangley Road. Suspects displayed a firearm, stole belongings, and fled.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
