Woo of Kentlake High were named Sept. 14 as semifinalists in the <a title=\"merit\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalmerit.org\/nmsp.php\" target=\"_self\">National Merit Scholarship Program<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>About 16,000 students nationwide were notified that they are semifinalists for merit scholarships.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>National Merit program officials will notify semifinalists in February if they have advanced to finalist standing.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Patricia Galvez of Kentridge High School and Kyle A.
