{"id":67510,"date":"2024-01-16T15:42:00","date_gmt":"2024-01-16T23:42:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/small-plane-crashes-on-side-of-auburn-roadway\/"},"modified":"2024-01-16T15:42:00","modified_gmt":"2024-01-16T23:42:00","slug":"small-plane-crashes-on-side-of-auburn-roadway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/small-plane-crashes-on-side-of-auburn-roadway\/","title":{"rendered":"Small plane crashes on side of Auburn roadway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Authorities responded to an airplane crash that occurred Jan. 16 in Auburn that left a single occupant with minor injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Auburn Police Department spokesperson Kolby Crossley said that responders were dispatched to the 3900 block of Auburn Way N. around 11:30 a.m., where a small plane had crashed into a chainlink fence adjacent to the roadway.<\/p>\n<p>Washington State Patrol and Valley Regional Fire also responded at the scene where a single occupant, the pilot of the small plane, was reportedly taken to a hospital with minor injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Crossley said the pilot was conscious and aware when responders arrived and that no businesses or bystanders were damaged or injured in the accident.<\/p>\n<p>According to Crossley, the pilot of the plane reported taking off from Auburn Municipal Airport before the plane &ldquo;lost power&rdquo; mid-flight.
