Kent Police will host a Community Meeting and Block Watch 101 Class on Thursday, Sept. 19 at Horizon Elementary School, 26741 144th Ave. S.E.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The Block Watch Class begins at 6 p.m. followed by the Community Meeting at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Residents can meet Police Chief Ken Thomas, hear about the latest crime statistics and trends and learn crime fighting strategies.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re pleased to meet with our community in an informal setting and learn more about their concerns while giving them the opportunity to know us better,” Thomas said. “Our goal is to strengthen the partnership we\u2019ve developed with residents by building on the foundation we\u2019ve already established.”<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
