Left wing finishes T-Bird career with 218 points in 238 games<\/p>\n

Seattle Thunderbirds General Manager Russ Farwell has announced left wing Prab Rai has been signed by the Vancouver Canucks of the NHL.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are very happy for Prab and wish him all the best as he moves on to his career as a pro,\u201d said Farwell. \u201cPrab has been a great contributor for us over the years. Each season he assumed a larger leadership role. This year he provided a very steadying influence and positive example to our young group of players.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rai was selected by the Canucks in the fifth round, 131st overall, in the 2008 NHL Draft.<\/p>\n

The T-Birds acquired Rai Dec. 19, 2006, in a trade with the Prince George Cougars for Chad Hohmann. In three and half seasons with the T-Birds, Rai appeared in 238 games. He had 91 goals and 127 assists for 218 points with 88 penalty minutes and a plus\/minus rating of plus-32.<\/p>\n
