{"id":66613,"date":"2023-12-12T12:15:00","date_gmt":"2023-12-12T20:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/48-children-participate-in-annual-kent-police-shop-with-a-cop\/"},"modified":"2023-12-12T12:15:00","modified_gmt":"2023-12-12T20:15:00","slug":"48-children-participate-in-annual-kent-police-shop-with-a-cop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/48-children-participate-in-annual-kent-police-shop-with-a-cop\/","title":{"rendered":"48 children participate in annual Kent Police Shop with a Cop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Forty-eight children were able to pick out holiday gifts for themselves and their families during the 10th anniversary of the Kent Police Department&rsquo;s Shop with a Cop.<\/p>\n<p>Officers, city jail corrections staff, the police explorers unit, police civilian staff and city human resources and legal staff participated in the early morning Dec. 9 event at Target on the East Hill.<\/p>\n<p>Funds are raised each year to help children shop for free at the store.
