The Saskatoon Blades defeated the Seattle Thunderbirds 4-2 Saturday night at the Credit Union Centre in central Saskatchewan.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

It was the T-Birds’ second game on a six-game road trip to the East Division. The T-Birds defeated the Prince Albert Raiders 6-2 Friday night in Prince Albert.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The T-Birds next play at Moose Jaw on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Seattle outshot Saskatoon 12-4 in the first period.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Saskatoon (6-13-0-0) took a 1-0 lead at 11:45 of the second period on a goal from Josh Uhrich. Landon Welykholowa had the only assist.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The Blades extended the lead to 2-0 at 13:11 of the second on a goal from Ryan Graham. Cameron Hebig assisted on the goal.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Seattle (8-7-2-1) cut the Blades lead to one goal at 14:37 of the second on a power-play goal. Ryan Gropp beat Saskatoon goalie Trevor Martin from the left circle for his ninth goal of the season. Alexander True and Jerret Smith had the assists.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Seattle led 24-17 in shots after two periods.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Saskatoon got the two-goal lead back at 4:56 of the third period on Graham’s second goal of the night. Hebig and Nolan Reid had the assists.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Seattle came right back scored at 9:12 of the third. Justin Hickman got his fifth of the year off an assist from Scott Eansor.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Sam Mckechnie got the Blades fourth goal at 15:35 of the third. Graham and Isaac Schacher were credited the assists.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Seattle pulled goalie Danny Mumaugh with over two minutes left in the third period to try and tie the game. They were not able to score.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Seattle outshot Saskatoon 12-5 in the third period and 36-22 in the game.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Mumaugh made 18 saves on 22 shots and his record is now 0-2-0-0.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Saskatoon goalie Trevor Martin made 34 saves on 36 shots and his record is now 1-3-0-0.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

T-Birds down Raiders<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The Seattle Thunderbirds started their six-game road trip through the East Division with a convincing 6-2 win over the Prince Albert Raiders at the Art Hauser Centre.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Six different T-Birds scored a goal in the win and Taran Kozun made 33 saves to get his eight win of the season. The six goals was a season high for the T-Birds.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
