A 48-year-old Renton woman and 32-year-old Bellevue man died Sept. 16 in a two-vehicle traffic collision on Interstate 405 near Bothell and Woodinville.<\/p>\n
According to a news release from the Washington State Patrol, the collision resulted from the Renton woman driving the wrong way.<\/p>\n
According to the news release, the Renton woman struck the front driver’s side of the Bellevue man’s vehicle traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of I-405, north of Northeast 160th Street.<\/p>\n
Both vehicles arrived at a stop in the fifth lane, with the collision resulting in 5 hours and 14 minutes of roadway blockages. The collision occurred at approximately 2:06 a.m.<\/p>\n
First responders transported a 30-year-old Seattle woman, a passenger of the Bellevue man’s vehicle, to Harborview Medical Center for injuries suffered in the collision, according to the news release.<\/p>\n
