A 29-year-old man died from a gunshot wound in Auburn on Sept. 10.<\/p>\n
According to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, Mohamed Othman, 29, died as a result of a single gunshot wound to the torso. The medical examiner’s office identified Othman’s death as a homicide.<\/p>\n
Auburn Police were dispatched to a call on Sept. 10 shortly after 7 a.m. at the intersection of 116th Avenue Southeast and Southeast 320th Street, according to Kolby Crossley, public information officer for the Auburn Police Department. The reporting party advised they heard a single gunshot in the area.<\/p>\n
Upon arrival at the scene, police discovered a man with at least one gunshot wound, sitting behind the wheel of a vehicle, according to Crossley. First responders arrived at the scene and pronounced the man in the driver’s seat dead.<\/p>\n
The department notified Auburn Police Department detectives to respond to the scene for further investigation of the homicide, according to Crossley.<\/p>\n
The department identified a bullet and shell casing as evidence in the incident, according to the department’s public information log.<\/p>\n
