{"id":64010,"date":"2023-08-01T11:24:00","date_gmt":"2023-08-01T18:24:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/kent-bicyclist-27-killed-in-collision-with-box-truck\/"},"modified":"2023-09-01T15:45:47","modified_gmt":"2023-09-01T22:45:47","slug":"kent-bicyclist-27-killed-in-collision-with-box-truck","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/kent-bicyclist-27-killed-in-collision-with-box-truck\/","title":{"rendered":"Kent bicyclist, 27, killed in collision with box truck | Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 27-year-old Kent bicyclist was killed in a collision with a box truck early Wednesday morning, Aug. 30 <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/eGR7s7nyrBTkWBTF7\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"map\" rel=\"noopener\">at the intersection of Kent-Kangley Road and 132nd Avenue <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/eGR7s7nyrBTkWBTF7\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"map\" rel=\"noopener\">SE<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Carlos Gutierrez-Tinsley died of multiple blunt force injuries, according to the King County Medical Examiner&rsquo;s Office Sept. 1 media report.<\/p>\n<p>Kent Police and Puget Sound Fire responded at about 5:42 a.m. after multiple 911 calls of an injury crash, according to a Kent Police statement. Witnesses reported that a bicyclist was badly injured.<\/p>\n<p>Officers and firefighters determined that Gutierrez-Tinsley had died from his injuries. The driver of the box truck, a 41-year-old Covington man, is cooperating with the investigation, according to police.<\/p>\n<p>Police are asking anyone with information about the collision to call the police tip line at 253-856-5808 or email KPDTipLine@kentwa.gov. Refer to case No. 23-11526.<\/p>\n<p>This was the third fatal crash in five days in Kent.
