{"id":63816,"date":"2023-08-16T15:35:00","date_gmt":"2023-08-16T22:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/20-year-old-kent-woman-dies-in-vehicle-pedestrian-collision\/"},"modified":"2023-08-16T15:35:00","modified_gmt":"2023-08-16T22:35:00","slug":"20-year-old-kent-woman-dies-in-vehicle-pedestrian-collision","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/20-year-old-kent-woman-dies-in-vehicle-pedestrian-collision\/","title":{"rendered":"20-year-old Kent woman dies in vehicle-pedestrian collision"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 20-year-old Kent woman died after she was hit by a vehicle Tuesday night, Aug. 15 while walking <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/qgLWUJzfo7gxBeLd8\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"map\" rel=\"noopener\">in the 25000 block of 104th Avenue SE<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Kent Police arrested a 62-year-old Kent man for investigation of DUI and will send the case to the King County Prosecuting Attorney&rsquo;s Office for consideration of additional charges, according to an Aug. 16 Kent Police statement.<\/p>\n<p>Kara Vee died from multiple blunt force injuries, according to the King County Medical Examiner&rsquo;s Office.<\/p>\n<p>Officers responded at about 10:13 p.m. to reports of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. Officers found Vee and began lifesaving efforts until firefighters from Puget Sound Fire and medics took over medical aid, according to police.
