Miller won the Solo and Ensemble Contest April 29-30 at Central Washington University in Ellensburg. The contest was sponsored by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association and the Washington Music Educators Association.

To advance to the state competition, Miller won one of 22 regional contests, including playing Ravel’s Albarado del Gracioso, considered by many one of the most difficult pieces in the piano literature.

Miller plans to attend the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma and study music and biology.
