A hit-and-run on June 24 in Auburn injured a 43-year-old Auburn woman after a vehicle reportedly driving the wrong way collided with her motorcycle.<\/p>\n
The Washington State Patrol received a report of a serious motorcycle collision at approximately 4:34 p.m. on eastbound State Route 18 to C Street in Auburn.<\/p>\n
Upon arriving at the scene, troopers saw a woman with a “severe” leg injury on the ground, according to the State Patrol. A trooper applied a tourniquet her injury, with first responders arriving on scene and continuing emergency medical aid.<\/p>\n
A helicopter airlifted the subject to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.<\/p>\n
According to the State Patrol, investigation of the incident determined the motorcyclist encountered the offending vehicle driving the wrong way, up the ramp, on the exit to C Street. The sedan driver reportedly crossed the center line and struck the side of the woman’s motorcycle, prior to fleeing the scene, with the woman’s motorcycle arriving at a stop on the right shoulder.<\/p>\n
