{"id":62586,"date":"2023-05-03T11:32:00","date_gmt":"2023-05-03T18:32:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/home2\/auburn-man-63-dies-in-wrong-way-crash-in-renton\/"},"modified":"2023-05-03T11:32:00","modified_gmt":"2023-05-03T18:32:00","slug":"auburn-man-63-dies-in-wrong-way-crash-in-renton","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/northwest\/auburn-man-63-dies-in-wrong-way-crash-in-renton\/","title":{"rendered":"Auburn man, 63, dies in wrong-way crash in Renton"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 63-year-old Auburn man died as a result of a fatal two-vehicle collision in the early morning hours of April 30 in Renton.<\/p>\n<p>Washington State Patrol troopers arrested a 35-year-old Tacoma man for investigation of vehicular homicide.<\/p>\n<p>According to a news release from the State Patrol, the 35-year-old driver traveled the wrong way, driving northbound on State Route 167 in the southbound lanes at Talbot Street at 2:50 a.m. He collided head-on with the 63-year-old man&rsquo;s vehicle. The 63-year-old man died at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>First responders transported the 35-year-old driver to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for injuries sustained in the incident.<\/p>\n<p>According to the news release, the incident involved drugs or alcohol by the Tacoma driver.
