A 26-year-old Kent man fatally shot April 27 at a Kent apartment complex has been identified by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.<\/p>\n

Jimmy R. Joe died from a gunshot wound of the chest, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office, which ruled Joe’s death a homicide.<\/p>\n

Officers responded at about 6:34 p.m. to a report of a shooting at an apartment complex in the 23200 block of 61st Avenue South, just northwest of Neely-O’Brien Elementary School, according to Kent Police. A 911 caller reported sounds of a gunshot and a person lying in the parking lot. Joe died at the scene.<\/p>\n

As of May 2, detectives have not made an arrest and no further details about the shooting have been released.<\/p>\n
