The Washington State Patrol is investigating two drive-by shootings on freeways that happened just after midnight on Wednesday, March 22.

The first shooting was at about 12:10 a.m. in Seattle on northbound Interstate 5 near the Northeast 50th Street ramp. Someone in a white sedan fired one shot that struck near the passenger door of a Ford pickup, according to a State Patrol media release. Nobody was injured and there is no suspect information.

At about 10:30 a.m. in Auburn, a semi driver was traveling southbound on State Route 167 near State Route 18 when a vehicle with no license plate pulled alongside of him and fired one shot that struck the front of the semi.

The victim described the driver as a white male wearing a ski mask. The vehicle was a sedan with mismatched paint, black rims and possibly a black hood. There were no injures.

This marks the 12th drive-by shooting that the State Patrol is investigating this year in King County. It’s the sixth in the month of March and third in the past week, according to the State Patrol.
