In keeping with “Service Above Self” motto, The Rotary Club of Kent-Sunrise sets a meeting each month, during the school year, to honor students of a Kent district middle school. \u00a0Meeker Middle School recently was honored in May.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The six honorees represent two for academic achievement, two for citizenship recognition along with an outstanding teacher and a supportive staff member. They, along with their parents, are invited to breakfast for this special early morning presentation.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Kent Sunrise Rotary recognized students Kenny Pham, JoJo Saunders, Jenna McGhie and Ireland Scheer; Principal Jeff Pelzel, Principal; paraeducator Lisa Cabalquinto; and math teacher Brad Pizzalato.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Each student is presented with $50 gift card to Barnes & Noble to help them with future study. \u00a0Support staff member and\u00a0 the extraordinary teacher are awarded $75 gift certificates. \u00a0Student’s parents are encouraged to attend the breakfast presentation along with their students.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
