A sampling of Kent Police incidents from Feb. 15-26:<\/p>\n

Feb. 15<\/strong><\/p>\n

Threats to neighbors<\/strong>: 5:40 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Webster Court Apartments, 309 Fifth Ave. S., for a male with mental health issues trying to open doors to the neighboring units. The suspect also made threats towards a neighbor and used a screwdriver to stab at someone’s door. The suspect ended up back inside his apartment and refused to come outside. A search warrant was obtained, and the suspect was eventually taken into custody.<\/p>\n

Feb. 16<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chevron robbery<\/strong>: 1:29 a.m., officers were dispatched to a robbery at a Chevron gas station, 26220 116th Ave. SE. Three suspects entered the store and acted like they were shopping until two of the suspects went behind the counter and robbed the employees at gunpoint. The suspects took personal items from the victims, around $700 from the registers and some vape pens. The suspects were seen fleeing in a vehicle.<\/p>\n

Fire set<\/strong>: 12:25 p.m., officers responded to a residential fire in the 15200 block of SE 278th St. Officers found that the suspect had tried to light a fire in the kitchen area because the house was cold. Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority personnel stated this was the third fire they had to respond to at this location. The suspect was taken into custody.<\/p>\n

Attempted store robbery<\/strong>: 7:33 p.m., officers were dispatched to a holdup alarm at the Los Vecinos store, 15423 SE 272nd St. Two suspects came into the business and attempted to rob the employee at gunpoint. When the suspects demanded money, she pushed the holdup alarm. This scared the suspects prompting them to flee without taking anything from the store.<\/p>\n

Apartment robbery<\/strong>: 10:13 p.m., officers were dispatched to a robbery at the Knol Apartments, 11239 SE 260th St. The victim had arrived home and reached her front door when the suspect contacted her while pointing a gun at her. The suspect demanded and obtained her bag and fled the scene. Her bag contained her cellphone, cash and bank cards.<\/p>\n

Feb. 17<\/strong><\/p>\n

Home invasion<\/strong>: 7:40 p.m., officers responded to a home invasion robbery in the 12000 block of SE 213th St. Three suspects wearing masks and armed with guns entered the victim’s home. They demanded valuables and took the victim’s phone, bags and other items from different rooms. The suspects ended up leaving the victim’s phone on the back porch before fleeing.<\/p>\n

Feb. 18<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gun threat<\/strong>: 6:35 p.m., officers were dispatched to a threat with a weapon incident at the Waterbrook Apartments, 10615 SE 250th Place. The victim arrived home to find a vehicle parallel parked blocking access to her parking stall. The victim used her horn to try to signal the owner to move the vehicle. The suspect who possessed the vehicle approached her, pointed a gun at her and told her to shut up. A female later came out of one of the apartments, seemed to ignore what was going on, and got into the passenger seat of the suspect vehicle. The suspect got into the driver’s seat and they both left the area. The victim obtained the license plate and provided it to officers.<\/p>\n

Feb. 21<\/strong><\/p>\n

Attempted Subway robbery<\/strong>: 3:43 p.m., officers were dispatched to a robbery at Subway, 1529 W. Meeker St. The employee was walking into the customer area from the back of the business when the suspect entered pointing a handgun at her. She ran into the back and locked the door. The suspect chased after her and attempted to make entry into the room she was in. The victim ran through another hallway that led her behind the front counter, jumped it and ran out the front door finding someone to call 911.<\/p>\n

Feb. 22<\/strong><\/p>\n

Theft arrest<\/strong>: A suspect stole tools and later posted them on Facebook Marketplace. The victim set up a time to meet the suspect. Officers arrived on scene and arrested the suspect who arrived in a stolen vehicle. He was booked into King County jail on several charges.<\/p>\n

Pizza store robbery<\/strong>: 11:46 p.m. officers were dispatched to a robbery at Slice of Italy, 26220 116th Ave. SE. Two suspects wearing construction vests and armed with handguns, had entered the business and robbed them. When the suspects entered the store, they immediately took it over and entered the back area to contain all employees. The suspects took the money from the cash registers and an employee’s phone.<\/p>\n

Feb. 23<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chevron robbery<\/strong>: 12:19 a.m., officers were dispatched to a robbery at the Chevron station, 27121 Military Road S. One suspect had come into the store and immediately robbed them at gunpoint. The suspect took the cash register tray with the money and was seen fleeing in a vehicle which was later found to be an unreported stolen vehicle.<\/p>\n

Feb. 24<\/strong><\/p>\n

7-Eleven robbery<\/strong>: 1:59 a.m., officers were dispatched to a robbery at 7-Eleven, 511 Central Ave. S. Two suspects entered the store, immediately took it over and robbed them at gunpoint. One suspect went behind the counter while the other stood by. They were seen fleeing in a vehicle. Officers eventually recovered this vehicle unoccupied on the East Hill of Kent.<\/p>\n

Grocery store burglary<\/strong>: 6:31 a.m., an officer was dispatched to a commercial alarm at the La Maliniche grocery store, 26028 Pacific Highway S. Video surveillance showed two suspects using a crowbar to open the door and eventually took the cash register and cigarettes. It appeared one of the suspects was armed with a handgun. The suspect vehicle was also seen on video.<\/p>\n

Businesses burglarized<\/strong>: 6:51 a.m., an officer was dispatched to a commercial alarm at the La Central grocery store, 25626 Pacific Highway S. One of the doors to the business was lying on the ground 15 feet away. The suspect had also entered the Boost Mobile store by kicking in an interior door. The suspects took two cash registers and cash from La Central. They took two cash registers and cash and phones from Boost Mobile.<\/p>\n

Attempted burglary<\/strong>: 9:25 a.m., an officer was dispatched to a burglary report at the Taqueria El Rinconsito restaurant, 25914 Pacific Highway S. The suspects made entry through the drive-thru window after prying it open. They attempted to break into the store’s safe but were unsuccessful. The video surveillance also showed there was a third suspect who was driving the suspect vehicle.<\/p>\n

Feb. 25<\/strong><\/p>\n

Carjacking<\/strong>: 1:50 p.m., officers were dispatched to a carjacking at the Island Park Apartments, 23529 60th Ave. S. The victim walked out to his vehicle, got in, and started to put it in reverse to leave. At least four suspects, one armed with a handgun forced him to stop and robbed him of his vehicle.<\/p>\n

Feb. 26<\/strong><\/p>\n

Shots fired<\/strong>: 8 a.m., officers were dispatched to a suspicious subject outside of a residence in the 25000 block of 128th Place SE. The subject was allegedly standing outside of the reporting party’s door with a handgun. As officers were responding, there was an update that the subject was now shooting the gun. The subject fled the area before officers could arrive. Officers identified the suspect and found video of the incident. The suspect had multiple outstanding domestic violence related warrants for his arrest. The suspect was not located during this incident.<\/p>\n

Injured by gunfire<\/strong>: 8:18 p.m., officers were dispatched to a shooting near the Red Lion hotel, 25100 74th Ave. S. One victim was shot in the leg and one victim was shot in the hand. The victims were inside a travel trailer when there was a knock at the door. When the door was opened, the suspect opened fire.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
