A total of 565 people participated in the Kent’s 40th Christmas Rush 5K and 10K run\/walk on Saturday, Dec. 10 at Hogan Park.<\/p>\n
There were 421 people in the 5K and 144 in the 10K, according to results on <\/a>runsignup.com<\/a>. Many participants dressed for the holiday.<\/p>\n Daniel Castelluccio, 17, a Tahoma High School senior from Maple Valley, won the 10K with a clock time of 36 minutes, 1 second.<\/p>\n August Byzinker, 42, of Kent, took second in 37:48.0. The rest of the top five included Michael Lynes, 56, of Tacoma, in third at 38:11.3; Rya Kangas, 28, of Seattle, in fourth at 38:12.3; and Elijah Morrow, 17, of Renton, in fifth at 38:27.1.<\/p>\n Mollee Schultz, 31, of Ann Arbor, Michigan, took sixth overall and finished first among females in 39:22.3.
