Rainier Youth Choirs will present audience sing-along tunes and holiday fun at its Making Spirits Bright concert in Kent.<\/p>\n
The performance is at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11 at New Hope Presbyterian Church, 19800 108th Ave. SE. No admission is charged with donations gratefully accepted. Please make reservations in advance at rycmembers.org<\/a>. Festival seating. Doors open at 2:40 p.m.<\/p>\n Enjoy great musical variety from medieval to contemporary selections from many cultures sung by these dynamic young singers under the direction of an award-winning staff of experienced choral directors, according to a Rainier Youth Choirs press release.<\/p>\n These groups perform separately and in different combinations that keep audiences engaged from start to finish:<\/p>\n • Primo Voce, grades 2-4, directed by Brittney Clegg and Brad Wills<\/p>\n • Bella Voce, grades 5-6, directed by RYC founder and artistic director Leora Schwitters<\/p>\n • Colla Voce, grades 6-8, directed by Jackie Grant<\/p>\n • Consonare, grades 9-12, directed by Brian Hoskins<\/p>\n Rainier Youth Choirs, in its 16th season and based in Covington, attracts members from Auburn, Burien, Covington, Des Moines, Enumclaw, Federal Way, Issaquah, Kent, Maple Valley, Puyallup, Renton, Snoqualmie and Sumner.<\/p>\n
