An overnight Severe Weather Shelter in Kent will be available to the public Tuesday night, Nov. 29 through Thursday night, Dec. 1, according to the city of Kent.<\/p>\n
The shelter will operate from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. at Holy Spirit Church, 310 Third Ave. S., in downtown Kent. For more information, call the church at 253-859-0444.<\/p>\n
Volunteers are needed to help at the shelter. To volunteer, email CHorn@KentWA.gov.<\/p>\n
Warming centers<\/strong><\/p>\n The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 1 p.m. Tuesday to 10 a.m. Wednesday.<\/p>\n Snow accumulation between 1 and 4 inches is expected. A Wind Advisory is also in effect from 4 p.m. Tuesday to 7 a.m. Wednesday. Southeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph are expected. Temperatures are predicted to be a high of 40 and low of 37 on Tuesday; 42 and 29 on Wednesday; and 38 and 25 on Thursday.<\/p>\n The following warming centers are available to the public in Kent, according to the city of Kent.<\/p>\n COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT CENTER (1225 W.
