{"id":60628,"date":"2022-10-24T16:18:00","date_gmt":"2022-10-24T23:18:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/kent-man-33-dies-in-single-car-crash-along-68th-avenue-south\/"},"modified":"2022-10-24T16:18:00","modified_gmt":"2022-10-24T23:18:00","slug":"kent-man-33-dies-in-single-car-crash-along-68th-avenue-south","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/kent-man-33-dies-in-single-car-crash-along-68th-avenue-south\/","title":{"rendered":"Kent man, 33, dies in single-car crash along 68th Avenue South"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 33-year-old Kent man died after his vehicle struck a tree and caught fire at about 6:20 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 23 <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/N45EiR4hBRptBu6R9\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"map\" rel=\"noopener\">in the 21700 block of 68th Avenue <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/N45EiR4hBRptBu6R9\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"map\" rel=\"noopener\">South<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Puget Sound Fire personnel arrived and found a fully engulfed 2014 Dodge Charger with the driver still trapped inside, according to Kent Police. The man was alone in the car.<\/p>\n<p>A 911 caller told police that he was driving southbound on 68th Avenue South when he noticed a car into a tree. He reported it was on fire and the driver was trapped. The man attempted to get the driver out but was driven back by the flames, according to police.<\/p>\n<p>Kent Police are trying to determine the cause of the crash.
