{"id":60060,"date":"2022-09-07T12:04:00","date_gmt":"2022-09-07T19:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/firefighters-extinguish-kent-homeless-encampment-fire\/"},"modified":"2022-09-07T12:04:00","modified_gmt":"2022-09-07T19:04:00","slug":"firefighters-extinguish-kent-homeless-encampment-fire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/firefighters-extinguish-kent-homeless-encampment-fire\/","title":{"rendered":"Firefighters extinguish Kent homeless encampment fire"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Firefighters extinguished a debris, trees and brush fire at a homeless encampment <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/HfaUV7chaTdeHwNj7\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"map\" rel=\"noopener\">in the 24300 block of Pacific Highway South<\/a> in Kent, south of Dick&rsquo;s Drive-In.<\/p>\n<p>Puget Sound Fire and South King Fire &#038; Rescue responded at about 7:54 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 4 to the fire, according to Puget Sound Fire spokesperson Pat Pawlak. No people were on site when firefighters arrived.<\/p>\n<p>The fire burned a 20-foot by 50-foot area. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
