May 30<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gang shooting<\/strong>: 1:44 p.m., officers were dispatched to a shooting in a parking lot in the 10400 block of SE 240th Street. A juvenile victim had a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim stated he was trying to catch a bus when he saw a subject in a vehicle that he knew was affiliated with a rival gang. That subject got out of his vehicle with a machete and began running after the victim, eventually pulling out a firearm and firing two rounds.<\/p>\n

Gunfire exchange<\/strong>: 9:47 p.m., officers were dispatched to an illegal discharge at the Atrium on James Apartments, 6248 S. 242nd Pl. Dispatch received multiple calls regarding sounds of gunfire. One person had confronted another over threatening comments. Each person claimed that the other pulled out a firearm prompting them to shoot at each other. No one was hit during the incident.<\/p>\n

May 31<\/strong><\/p>\n

Shots fired<\/strong>: 7:29 p.m., officers were dispatched to reports of gunfire and a hit-and-run collision at the intersection of SE 240th Street and 112th Avenue SE. Multiple witnesses relayed that two vehicles were traveling in opposite directions on SE 240th Street when gunshots were fired. This caused one vehicle to swerve into the oncoming lane and hit the other vehicle. The vehicle that appeared to be at fault, fled the scene. The driver and passenger of the vehicle that remained were treated for injuries and bullet holes were located in their vehicle. Witnesses reported that another vehicle was seen fleeing the scene, right after the collision, where the passenger was pointing a gun out of the window.<\/p>\n

June 4<\/strong><\/p>\n

Store robbery<\/strong>: 9:05 p.m., officers responded to a recent robbery at Game Stop, 26137 104 Ave. SE. The victim, an employee of the business, stated the suspect walked in with his hand in his pocket and implied he had a firearm. He demanded money and removed the cash from both registers totaling around $500. The suspect left the area on foot and was not located.<\/p>\n

June 5<\/strong><\/p>\n

Shots aimed at ex<\/strong>: 11:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to a shooting in the 800 block of Third Avenue South. The suspect allegedly had been stalking his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend. The suspect saw the victims together in a vehicle, and opened fire on them. No one was hit, and the suspect fled the area northbound on a motorcycle.<\/p>\n

June 7<\/strong><\/p>\n

Homeowner fires shots<\/strong>: 11:13 p.m., officers were dispatched to an illegal discharge in the area of Canyon Drive and Weiland Street. The reporting party reported hearing a gunshot and both a male and female screaming. Officers heard a male screaming. He was yelling unintelligibly and told officers to stay off his property then he grabbed a rifle from inside the house. The male returned to his residence and officers were unable to establish contact with him for the next three hours. No other person was seen. Later, following this event, detectives and officers were able to apprehend the suspect outside of his home without incident. The suspect was booked.<\/p>\n

June 10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Shots into air<\/strong>: 8:32 p.m., officers responded to an Illegal discharge call at Central Avenue Pub, 1404 Central Ave. S. A male in the parking lot fired some shots into the air\/ground then left in a red Ford Explorer. While officers were there investigating, the Ford returned to the parking lot. The driver was drunk and after almost 10 minutes of commands officers finally got him in custody. He was arrested for reckless endangerment and DUI.<\/p>\n

June 12<\/strong><\/p>\n

Baseball bat assault<\/strong>: 8:55 a.m., officers were dispatched to an order violation at the Drexel II Apartments, 10225 SE 239th St. The ex-girlfriend used a baseball bat to assault the victim until he got into a car with her. He was able to escape from her vehicle after she got high centered in a parking lot. She tried driving away from the area but was located in a cul-de-sac and taken into custody without incident.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
