{"id":5789,"date":"2012-11-23T16:35:33","date_gmt":"2012-11-24T00:35:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spiken.wpengine.com\/news\/t-birds-acquire-defenseman-from-silvertips-in-exchange-for-a-draft-pick\/"},"modified":"2016-10-22T07:00:39","modified_gmt":"2016-10-22T14:00:39","slug":"t-birds-acquire-defenseman-from-silvertips-in-exchange-for-a-draft-pick","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/sports\/t-birds-acquire-defenseman-from-silvertips-in-exchange-for-a-draft-pick\/","title":{"rendered":"T-Birds acquire defenseman from Silvertips in exchange for a draft pick"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p>Seattle Thunderbirds general manager Russ Farwell today announced the    team has acquired defenseman Griffin Foulk from the Everett  Silvertips   in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2014 Bantam  Draft.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>&#8220;We  feel Griffin has  considerable upside and we liked  what we saw from  him,&#8221; Farwell said.  &#8220;We felt he would be a good  addition to our group  at this time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Foulk, from  Broomfield,  Colo., is a 6-foot,  185-pound left-handed defenseman in his  rookie  season. He has appeared  in 14 games this season for the  Silvertips and  has not registered a  point.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>The T-Birds take on  the Portland  Winterhawks at 7:05 p.m.  Saturday at the ShoWare Center. They  face the  Everett Silvertips at  7:05 p.m. Tuesday, also at the ShoWare.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>T-Birds&#8217;  single-game  tickets are available online at the T-Birds website and   at the ShoWare  Center box office. The ShoWare Center Box Office is open   Monday through  Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.,   Saturday game  days at 10 a.m. and Sunday game days at noon.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>T-Birds season tickets are on sale.
