The council\u2019s Economic and Community Development Committee approved the amendment last week to send the measure to the full council.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p><a title=\"hope\" href=\"http:\/\/kenthope.org\/\" target=\"_self\">KentHOPE<\/a> and Seattle\u2019s Union Gospel Mission will lead the drive to open a year-round overnight homeless shelter. The new facility would cost an estimated $2 million and be about 6,000 square feet in order to house 30 women and children for up to 90 days per woman.
