Staff reports<\/em><\/p>\n President Joe Biden is visiting Seattle as well as Green River College in Auburn on April 22 as part of his visit to the Pacific Northwest this week.<\/p>\n The college reports that Biden plans to meet with a number of elected officials in the area and a limited number of members of the college community while providing remarks in the Mel Lindbloom Student Union.<\/p>\n During his visit to Seattle that starts at Seward Park, Biden is expected to sign an executive order aimed at protecting old-growth forests and strengthening reforestation efforts nationwide, according to The White House. <\/a><\/p>\n The trip is part of an expanded travel schedule ahead of the November elections as Biden tries to demonstrate that he has made progress on his agenda while also prodding Congress to do more, according to the Associated Press. New spending on infrastructure will be a focus of the president’s talks, according to AP.<\/p>\n
