{"id":56729,"date":"2022-04-18T11:30:00","date_gmt":"2022-04-18T18:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/kent-man-60-killed-in-vehicle-crash-identified\/"},"modified":"2022-04-18T11:30:00","modified_gmt":"2022-04-18T18:30:00","slug":"kent-man-60-killed-in-vehicle-crash-identified","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/kent-man-60-killed-in-vehicle-crash-identified\/","title":{"rendered":"Kent man, 60, killed in vehicle crash identified"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 60-year-old Kent man killed in an April 14 head-on collision along the West Valley Highway has been identified as David Wayne Burns.<\/p>\n<p>Burns died from multiple blunt force injuries, according to the King County Medical Examiner&rsquo;s Office.<\/p>\n<p>Burns was driving northbound on the West Valley Highway when he reportedly crossed the center line and collided with a vehicle traveling southbound, according to an email from Kent Police Assistant Chief Jarod Kasner. Speed and weather may have been contributing factors to the collision.<\/p>\n<p>The crash occurred at about 5:52 a.m. <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/fHcDvFqdTbrxn1Bv7\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"map\" rel=\"noopener\">in the 18300 block of West Valley Highway <\/a>in Kent, just south of South 180th Street.<\/p>\n<p>Paramedics transported a 50-year-old Auburn man, who was driving the southbound vehicle, to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Kasner said.<\/p>\n<p>A semi driver also involved in the collision was not injured.
