A free food pantry is available at the Valley Cities Behavioral Health Kent Clinic courtesy of the Renton-based Degh Tegh Community Kitchen.

Degh Tegh staff will visit the clinic, 325 W. Gowe St., regularly to keep the pantry stocked, according to a Valley Cities emailed newsletter.

A group of people from the Sikh community started Degh Tegh, which means to serve food to the community and protect the rights of everyone in the community. Sikh youth and young adults help keep the pantries stocked.

The pantries are stocked with cereals, bars, soups, canned meals, canned fruits, juices and other hearty canned or nonperishable food items.
