They came in all shapes and sizes, shaggy and thin in fur, wet and dry in noses and long and short in tails.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Proud owners took their beloved Fidos on a friendly tour of historic downtown at Kent’s annual Pampered Pet Walk on a sun-splashed Saturday.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The free event, put on the by Kent Downtown Partnership \u2013 with help from sponsors and groups \u2013 drew a big crowd.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Led by state Sen. Joe Fain, R-Auburn, his wife Steffanie and their dog Waffles, and Kent City Councilwoman Dana Ralph, the group completed a short walk, then gathered at Kherson Park for entertainment, photos and conversation.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
There were contests for best costumes and tricks.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
