A Unity for Ukraine vigil is planned from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 1 at the Kent City Hall courtyard, 220 Fourth Ave. S.<\/p>\n
Mayor Dana Ralph announced in her weekly update Friday that members of the South County community will host the vigil. Attendees are asked to begin gathering at 6 p.m. Speakers will begin at 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
At the 7 p.m. City Council meeting following the vigil, Ralph will present an official proclamation expressing the city’s support for its Ukrainian community members in Kent and abroad.<\/p>\n
More than 4,000 Ukrainian-Americans live in Kent, the largest Ukrainian population in the state, Ralph said.<\/p>\n
