{"id":5445,"date":"2013-01-24T11:15:04","date_gmt":"2013-01-24T19:15:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spiken.wpengine.com\/news\/pickup-driver-injured-in-kent-after-hitting-tree\/"},"modified":"2016-10-21T20:30:43","modified_gmt":"2016-10-22T03:30:43","slug":"pickup-driver-injured-in-kent-after-hitting-tree","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/pickup-driver-injured-in-kent-after-hitting-tree\/","title":{"rendered":"Pickup driver injured in Kent after hitting tree"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p>A man suffered life-threatening injuries after he lost control of his pickup truck, hit another vehicle and then struck a tree at high speed at about 9 a.m. Thursday in the 23800 block of 64th Avenue South.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>The driver was alone in the pick as he traveled southbound on 64th Avenue South, according to a Kent Fire Department media release. The driver of the second vehicle was shaken up but not injured.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Kent firefighters removed the man from the pickup and began CPR. Paramedics arrived to provide advance life support and transported the man to a local hospital.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Kent Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
