King County Elections will set up a Vote Center at Kent City Hall, 220 Fourth Ave. S., for three days to provide voters with in-person assistance during the general election.

The center will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30; 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 1; and 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 2, aka Election Day, according to a King County Elections media release.

Kent City Hall is one of five locations spread throughout the county where voters can go to register to vote, get a replacement ballot, or use an assistive voting device to cast a private, secure ballot. The other locations are Lumen Field Event Center in Seattle, Bellevue College, Kenmore City Hall, Federal Way Performing Arts Center and King County Elections HQ in Renton.

“Vote Centers are key to providing inclusive elections and ensuring that voters can register to vote through Election Day,” said Julie Wise, King County director of elections.

Voters who need to come in-person are encouraged to visit one of the locations on Saturday as lines are expected on Monday and Election Day.

Registered voters received ballots in the mail and can return them by mail or at ballot drop boxes throughout the county. Kent has drop boxes at the Maleng Regional Justice Center, 401 Fourth Ave. N.; the Kent YMCA, 10828 SE 248th St.; and the Panther Lake Library, 20500 108th Ave. SE.

[4
["post-52568","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news
