{"id":5242,"date":"2015-09-29T13:55:07","date_gmt":"2015-09-29T20:55:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spiken.wpengine.com\/news\/kent-fire-officials-investigate-overturned-boat-at-lake-fenwick-update\/"},"modified":"2016-10-23T16:35:34","modified_gmt":"2016-10-23T23:35:34","slug":"kent-fire-officials-investigate-overturned-boat-at-lake-fenwick-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/kent-fire-officials-investigate-overturned-boat-at-lake-fenwick-update\/","title":{"rendered":"Kent fire officials investigate overturned boat at Lake Fenwick | Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p>An 18-20 foot fiberglass boat has been towed from the east side of <a title=\"map\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/Lake+Fenwick+Park,+25828+Lake+Fenwick+Rd+S,+Kent,+WA+98032,+United+States\/@47.3685426,-122.2718073,15z\/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x5490597de2faafdd:0x508042fe45ef5945\" target=\"_self\">Lake Fenwick<\/a> in Kent to the boat launch area on the west side where a tow truck will remove it.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>The boat was investigated at noon Tuesday after a passerby noticed it overturned and called 911, according to a Kent Fire Department Regional Fire Authority media release.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Divers and water rescue firefighters from several south King County departments, including Kent, responded to the scene and determined that the boat was unoccupied and appeared abandoned. Divers also searched the bottom of the small lake under the boat.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>At this point it is not clear why the boat was overturned and abandoned.
