Kent Police are looking for a suspect who fatally shot a man at about 11:55 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16 on the East Hill near the Phoenix Court Apartments.<\/p>\n
Officers were dispatched to the O’Reilly’s Auto Parts store in the 10400 block of Southeast 240th Street<\/a> after a report of a shooting, according to a Kent Police statement. Officers found the shooting victim and started CPR. Puget Sound Fire and medics arrived to assist, but the man died at the scene.<\/p>\n Police did not release the man’s age or hometown. The King County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the man.<\/p>\n Witnesses told police that the shooting occurred in the 23900 block of 112th Avenue <\/a>Southeast<\/a>, on the east side of the Phoenix Court Apartments.<\/p>\n Early reports indicate that this was not a random incident, according to police, who did not release any information about a suspect.<\/p>\n Anyone with information is asked to call the Kent Police at 253-856-5808 or email KPDTips@kentwa.gov.<\/p>\n 12th homicide this year<\/strong><\/p>\n The killing is the 12th homicide in the first 10 months of 2021 in Kent.
