A man in his 70s was killed in a hit-and-run on Wednesday night, Sept. 22 in Federal Way.<\/p>\n

At about 7:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision in the 2500 block of South 288th <\/a>Street<\/a>, near Military Road South, according to Federal Way Police Cmdr. Kurt Schwan.<\/p>\n

The involved vehicle did not stop and fled the area, Schwan said. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple injuries as a result of the collision. Officers provided aid until medics and fire personnel arrived. The man died at the scene.<\/p>\n

Schwan said there is no suspect information. Police believe the man was not using a crosswalk at the time of the collision.<\/p>\n

Federal Way’s Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the collision.<\/p>\n
