The Seattle Mist opens the Legends Football League<\/a> season on Saturday, April 6 against the Green Bay Chill at the ShoWare Center<\/a> in Kent.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Shuree Hyatt, a former soccer player at Kentlake High School and the University of Washington, will take the field with the Mist in what used to be called the Lingerie Football League.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old Hyatt, a running back and defensive back, is expected to be one of the top rookies in the league, according to the LFL website. Hyatt was a four-year letter winner in soccer at Kentlake and was the co-Most Valuable Player at the Class 4A state level in 2002. She also lettered three years in basketball.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Kickoff is at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Tickets are $85, $55, $35, $25 and $15 and are available at www.showarecenter.com<\/a> or at the ShoWare box office, 625 W. James St.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Games feature seven-on-seven tackle on a 50-yard field. The offense includes a quarterback, two running backs, three receivers and a center.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Seattle quarterback Laura Creel will lead the offense along with receivers Jessica Hopkins and Riki Creger-Zier. Green Bay’s top players include quarterback Anne Erler and receiver Jessica Peyton.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Seattle is ranked sixth in the LFL while Green Bay is No. 9.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
