A sampling of Kent Police incidents Aug. 6-8:<\/p>\n
Aug. 6<\/strong><\/p>\n Machete fight<\/strong>: 2 p.m., a 41-year-old man reported a known person that he works with showed up at Aspen Grove Apartments, 26335 116th Ave. SE., to be paid for previous work. The two got into an argument and the suspect pulled out a machete. The victim retrieved a large level from his truck and the two damaged each other’s vehicles as they attempted to hit each other. The victim eventually gets a 2×4 during the melee and strikes the suspect on the head. The victim was treated at Valley Medical Center in Renton for minor injuries. The suspect has not been located.<\/p>\n Aug. 7<\/strong><\/p>\n Pedestrian struck<\/strong>: 8:51 p.m., A 50-year-old man was crossing Pacific Highway South on the West Hill from the east to the west when he was struck by a silver Chrysler. The Chrysler was possibly racing a white Dodge Charger. Both vehicles were last scene traveling southbound on Pacific Highway. The man was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with head and leg injuries and was listed in critical condition.<\/p>\n Aug. 8<\/strong><\/p>\n Garbage rage<\/strong>: 1:14 p.m., two suspects in a truck dump garbage on a property. The property owner confronts them, and they flee. Owner’s family shows up and goes after the truck. During that time the suspect vehicle stops, and a suspect gets out and shoots four rounds at the family in their vehicle, nearly striking a passenger in the head. Suspects flee. Vehicle license plate on truck shows it was stolen. The suspects have not been identified.<\/p>\n Domestic violence<\/strong>: 1:49 p.m., patrol responded to the report of domestic violence with a weapon in the 9800 block of South 252nd Street. The female victim was able to escape the house with her young children. She stated her boyfriend\/father of her children had pointed a gun at her and their newborn. Further, he put a knife to her throat, slashed her tires and took her cellphone. Contact was made with the suspect who refused to exit the home. Patrol had responded to this location the day prior for domestic violence assault, but the suspect was gone at the time of arrival. The victim stated suspect had a history of barricading himself to prevent apprehension by police.
