{"id":50791,"date":"2021-07-19T15:59:00","date_gmt":"2021-07-19T22:59:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/home2\/suspect-sought-in-fatal-hit-and-run-near-maple-valley\/"},"modified":"2021-07-19T15:59:00","modified_gmt":"2021-07-19T22:59:00","slug":"suspect-sought-in-fatal-hit-and-run-near-maple-valley","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/northwest\/suspect-sought-in-fatal-hit-and-run-near-maple-valley\/","title":{"rendered":"Suspect sought in fatal hit and run near Maple Valley"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The King County Sheriff&rsquo;s Office is seeking the public&rsquo;s help in a hit and run case that killed a 53-year-old man jogging in Maple Valley on Sunday morning, July 18.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies responded at about 10:55 a.m. <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/U9Rq8rzTc8DMERH57\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"map\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">near the 23800 block of Southeast 216th Street<\/a> near Maple Valley in unincorporated King County after a man was found dead near the roadside, according to a Sheriff&rsquo;s Office press release.<\/p>\n<p>The man was an avid runner and is believed to have been struck as he neared the end of a 15-mile Sunday run.
