The city of Kent has reopened to the public the first floor of City Hall, the first floor of the Centennial Center, The Kent Senior Activity Center and the Kent Commons Community Center.

The facilities reopened Monday, July 19 after being closed for more than a year due to COVID-19.

“We’re finally approaching that light at the end of the tunnel as the vaccination rate climbs, new cases decline and our city reopens and recovers,” Mayor Dana Ralph said in her weekly update to residents.

Parks online system down

While parks and recreation centers are open, the city’s online registration for parks programs, WebReg, has broken.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and appreciate your patience during this time,” according to a city statement. “A new registration system will launch later this year; however, until it is ready for use, we will be shifting to phone, mail, or in-person registration for all Kent Parks programs and classes.”

In-person registration can be completed at the Kent Senior Activity Center or the Kent Commons Community Center during regular operating hours.

• Kent Senior Activity Center

600 E.
