Hezekiah Goodwin won the Kent Cornucopia Days 5K run <\/a>on Saturday, July 10, his second victory in five years in the race.<\/p>\n

Goodwin, 22, of Kent, won in 16 minutes, 27.2 seconds. He won the 2016 race in 17:14.2, at the age of 17. Goodwin participated in track and field and cross county at Kentlake High School as well as at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma.<\/p>\n

A total of 241 runners competed in the Cornucopia Days 5K. Many others participated in the 5K walk.<\/p>\n

Ethan Buck, 17, of Puyallup, took second behind Goodwin in 17:02.9, followed by Zachary Fung, 32, of Kirkland, 17:50.1; Michael Magnussen, 52, of Kent, 18:34.0; and Seth Fleming, 35, of Kent, who rounded out the top five with a time of 19:00.5.<\/p>\n

Courtney Black, 42, of Maple Valley, was the top female finisher. She had a time of 21:30.7, which placed her 13th among all runners. Enid Moore, 62, of Seattle, was the second highest female finisher in 21:51.1, 16th best overall.<\/p>\n

The course started and ended at Three Friends Fishing Hole, 20025 Russell Road. Participants headed north around Briscoe Park and slightly into Tukwila before returning to Three Friends Fishing Hole.<\/p>\n
