Morganne Comstock continued to deliver the goods for the Kentlake High girls basketball team Friday afternoon at the ShoWare Center in Kent.<\/p>\n
Comstock, a sweet-shooting guard, scored a game-high 21 points, leading the Falcons past Kent-Meridian 53-34 in a South Puget Sound League North Division game.<\/p>\n
It’s the second straight game Comstock, a junior, has eclipsed the 20-point barrier.<\/p>\n
With the win, the Falcons (8-5 in league, 11-6 overall) clinched one of the North’s five playoff berths. The Falcons would need to win their final three games (tonight against Federal Way, Tuesday against Auburn Riverside and Friday against Kentwood) to earn one of the top three slots to the SPSL playoffs.<\/p>\n
Kentlake used a 17-5 second-quarter spurt to put away the Royals (1-11, 3-11).<\/p>\n
Comstock was aided by Cody Sisco and Riley Butler, both of whom scored eight points.<\/p>\n
Briana Shannon led Kent-Meridian with 9 points.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Kentwood 46, Kentridge 21: The second-ranked Conquerors (12-0, 16-0) remained perfect, cruising to a 25-7 halftime lead and never looking back.<\/p>\n
Lindsey Moore led Kentwood with 14 points while Shelby Wahlberg chipped in 10.<\/p>\n
